Oxumarê is the orixà of rain and rainbows. Rain plunders the earth but Oxumarê showers us with good (money, prosperity, abundance). Oxumarê knows fun and good times. Being the only orixà who has contact with Olodumare (God), Oxumarê is the messenger orixà and represents the opportunity to make changes if we see fit. Oxumarê has seasonal preferences and changes genders throught the year, existing six months as male and six months as female. |
